My name is Danielle and I grew up in a small town in Maine with my parents and my younger brother. Growing up I always wanted to move "away" but the older I got, the more I realized how much I loved Maine. I went to the University of Maine and graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. I met my husband while we were in college and we got married a few years after graduation. I had a couple of engineering related jobs after graduation but when I got pregnant with our son I realized that what I really wanted was to be home with him. My loving and supportive husband has allowed me to do just that and I am happier than I could have ever imagined with my new role as a stay at home mom.
We are now the proud parents of two beautiful children. Our son, Levi, is 2 and a half years old and our daughter, Lily, is 1 year old.
When I decided to start my blog back up again in 2012, I decided I needed a new name. I had just had a conversation with my husband about a possible mothers day gift and it was in that discussion that we realized that both of our kids have red birthstones (July and January). Since I was planning on including stories about my kids in my blog, I decided that Two Red Birthstones would be perfect for my new name!
In my limited free time I like to craft. My crafts of choice are sewing, scrapbooking, cooking and photography. I hope you follow my journey through motherhood and everything else along the way!
