Full Hands

It seems as though every time I go out with both kids, someone inevitably says "looks like you have your hands full".  They are not saying this because my kids are running wild (my kids are actually pretty well behaved in public, or I probably wouldn't take them out by myself) it is because I am carrying two kids in my arms, my son on my hip and my daughter is either in her car seat or in the Ergo.  I have stuff that needs to get done outside of the house and this is how I make it work with two kids under 2.  It's what works for me.

Its not really the comment that gets to me, I know they are not saying it to be mean or condescending, its just that I hear it so often.  They also give me that look like I am crazy or they are glad they are not in my shoes.  I usually just smile and nod, but what I would really like for them to see is that not only are my hands full, but so is my heart!  I am happy to have my hands full and I don't feel as though what I am doing is crazy, we all enjoy getting out of the house.  Granted, there are days when I wish I could go out by myself to get stuff done, but most of the time, it's nice to have company. My kids are the light of my life and though it can be hard sometimes, I would not change any of it for the world.
